Brain Boxes - Products - Bluetooth Compact Flash Card - BL-565 This Bluetooth CF card will be a Type 1 card that is compatible with all Pocket PCs that have a CF slot. I have no idea when this will be available, but my guess would be that it would appear in Europe first. I think we are supposed to see some Bluetooth devices appearing 1Q 2001.

Alex Kac has created a ClearType Control Panel that you can use to enable all pages to be rendered in Internet Explorer with ClearType. I have been using the precursor of this application for some time, and I have to say that I really like browsing all web sites using ClearType, and AvantGo channels look particularly nice.

It took all of five seconds to install the microdrive in my Compaq iPAQ.. I just plugged in to the slot of the CompactFlash expansion pack. One thing to note, it will not fit in my SanDisk USB CompactFlash reader, as I expected. So, I will have to move files by using the USB cable of my iPAQ, or get a reader in which the microdrive will fit.

Handspring to buy Bluelark in stock deal This would be another case where it would appear that the Palm/Handspring duo is acknowledging that Microsoft is right. People do want full access to the Internet from their handheld devices, not just clippings. Let's see, you add this to removable storage, color screens, faster processors.... hmm, is there anything about the Pocket PCs that they haven't added yet?

E & B Cases is coming out with a SlimPAQ case for the Compaq iPAQ. Dale has a review of the case, along with some slightly messed up pics. I use the E&B SlipperPAQ as my main case, and it requires either the basic style pack, or the CompactFlash style pack. I generally use the CompactFlash pack all the time and pretty much of gotten used to the larger size.

Even though it is about Palm, I found this article about how one school is incorporating Palms into their curriculmn to be very interesting. I really think this is something that Microsoft has to find a way to get in to, but the only way that is going to happen is if prices come down.

CNET.com - Secret project may be Microsoft's next big deal "Microsoft’s new stealth service, known as Netdocs, is slated to be one of its showcase .Net building blocks, but company officials steadfastly refuse to discuss it publicly." I wonder if Windows CE fits into this in any way? One of the most important parts of a future Pocket PC upgrade will be Internet Explorer, which I think at least needs to meet the Handheld PC 2000's version of IE.
