PDAK12: Syncing Your Teeth Into Bluetooth
The above title has been nominated for "Worst headline on a Pocket PC site" I'll second the nomination. :) But the article is good read on Bluetooth. I wonder how much the Bluetooth Access Point will cost?

Yahoo - Targus Announces a CompactFlash Pocket Modem Targus' modem and its built-in RJ-11 jack is more appealing to me than Viking's modem. With these two Pocket PC users now have modem options from Pretec, Xircom, Targus, and Viking. Not to mention the Psion TravelModem.

PocketPCHow2.com I've made some slight changes to top level page for this site. There is a fine line between making a site good for Pocket Internet Explorer that doesn't suck in Internet Explorer.

PW: MindSurf Beams Content Into Schools This is an interesting brief article about a partnership between Sylvan Learning Systems and Aether to provide wireless technology and PDAs in schools. From a teaching perspective I wonder how this doesn't become a distraction?

Yahoo - Samsung Telecommunications America and VoiceStream Wireless to Develop GPRS Mobile Phones Standardized on the Microsoft Mobile Explorer and 'Stinger' Smart Phone Platforms The wireless Internet options are increasing dramatically. There are two imporant pieces of information in this article. First, Voicestream will be rolling out GPRS in the United States next year. Second, Voicestream, Samsung and Microsoft are all working together to come up with an intergrated wireless Internet solution. Since I am already a Voicestream customer this looks to be a promising development.

You may recall that earlier this year Hewlett-Packard disclosed that the color screens of the Jornada Palm-size and Pocket PCs did not display 65,536 colors as noted in their literature. Due to the outcry that followed HP offered a refund to those who purchased Jornada Pocket PCs. Later it was discovered that their Palm-size PCs also did not live up to their claims. As a result a class action lawsuit was filed, and has resulted in a settlement. Everyone who purchased a Jornada before June 30, 2000 is entitled to a full refund. You have until November 22, 2000 to register for that refund. You can read the details here: HP Jornada PC Companions - News - Notice of Proposed Class Settlement
