Snooze
So the big Consumer Electronics Show is pretty much over, along with the Steve Ballmer keynote, and there was zero Windows Mobile news. The closest news was about Microsoft Tag, which is basically a 2-d bar code scan and search on a web site. These aren't your normal bar codes that you find on just about every product that you buy, they are entirely different bar codes. So, I ask, what is the point? I've got ShopSavy on my G1 that reads normal bar codes and does price searches for me, and that is basically all I would want bar code scanning for. Meanwhile, we will have to wait for CTIA in a couple of months for the next possibility of significant Windows Mobile news. Labels: 2009
