SyncNotes
I am always interested in different ways to manage information from my Pocket PC. Recently I read a weblog post about SyncNotes, which is a web-based service on the Internet for creating and storing post-it note like notes of information. The service includes a Windows desktop client, a web-based interface, and a WAP interface. The idea is that you creates notes on your desktop, and synchronize them to the web site, where they can then be accessed and edited from any web or wap client. I thought this might be an alternative to Notes synchronization provided by ActiveSync, however, what I found is that while Internet Explorer on Windows Mobile supports WAP, it is recognized by the web site as a full web browser and consequently it serves up the full desktop web interface. That interface has a lot of graphics and is not formated for the Pocket PC's small screen. The net with this experience is that SyncNotes is not a good tool for working with notes on a Pocket PC.
